Id 100% second the advice of typing random ppl in tv shows or everyday life for practice. I had a phase where typing systems were pretty much my current obsession & I was doing this everywhere. Though it also helps to like.... tale a break, do something else & then revisit it later cause then you usually notice if you were overfixated on some individual datapoint

Which is a struggle sometimes cause a lot of stiff about social interaction for example people rarely spell it out. I had to learn it from online articles in my 20s. Ppl will mistakenly assume I'm smart cause I get stuff that is theoretically explained but still struggle to apply it one step after another. Though from my pov its also fascinating to see how ppl with a very different style approach it.

You say a lot of true stuff here re: narrow pre-conceived notions , on the other hand my experience is very different because I am very much a theoretical/verbal learner & I feel I get a lot more from descriptions (as long as theyre not vague & actually get into the mechanistic parts) - a lot of this body language type stuff you guys describe is invisible to me, i used to think it was total made-up bullshit when I was younger. If you dont explain something theoretically to me I just won't get it
